Ergonomic Backcare Chairs and Posture Support Seating - Specialist Chairs for Individuals, including chairs with Coccyx cutouts. Our bodies are not designed to sit for long periods and so it is no surprise that sitting in the wrong chair, or on a wrongly adjusted chair, can cause discomfort or longer term posture problems such as back pain and neck ache. Our factsheet on how to set up your chair to sit more healthily will help you to make the best of your existing chair, but if you still feel you need more support then consult our ranges of posture support chairs. All our carefully selected backcare chairs and posture support seating have been ergonomically designed by, or are specified by, back care specialists (including physiotherapists and chiropractors). These highly adjustable specialist chairs cater for those who have posture problems (eg back pain or RSI) or those who require their chair to provide more support than a standard office chair provides. A number of these chairs have the option to create as coccyx cutout to reduce pressure on the coccyx area of the seat. On some chairs, the coccyx cutout comes as standard. Users who are also above or below average height or weight will find additional chairs in the Max or Petite sections which are especially designed for their needs. There are also highly adjustable and customisable chairs in the Operator, Task and Executive sections. Please note that these are not 'orthopaedic' chairs and if in doubt, you should see your specialist, who will specify a chair for you.
